In Search of Psychedelic Orchestra/ Fellow Spaceplayers

Description
Testing the waters of the topographic oceans to see if there's enough interest to get a band together to perform my latest album live. I record solo, under the name Spaceplayer, and just released AT HOME AMONG THE STARS, an album of psychedelic-inspired instrumental music (Spotify/YouTube links below.) Now that live shows are a thing again, I'm floating the idea of performing it live, but would need to put together a band to do it, and I've been out of the live performance arena for a good while now, so I'm starting that from scratch. The instrumentation involved on this one is mostly 60's oriented: drums, bass, organ, and guitars, along with some Mellotron and sitar sounds, some orchestral strings on a few songs, and even some atmospheric synths. The music itself is inspired by a motley collection of 60's psychedelia and 70's prog: -The Beatles -Syd Barret/Early Pink Floyd -early King Crimson -Hawkwind -The Moody Blues -"Good Vibrations"-era Beach Boys -The Grateful Dead -The Doors -Yes -Mike Oldfield ...You get the picture. And while it's instrumental, it's highly melodic and varied in composition ( not just limited to 20-minute extended jams or the like) with a variety of moods: ambient, heavy, peaceful, erratic, soulful, playful, hopeful, ascendant... so I think it would hold an audience, in the right setting. That said, I wouldn't be adverse to a singer who could add a spin to these via improvisation, etc. I would like to stay true to the spirit of the recorded versions, there are plenty of areas to stretch out and improvise, as well. And while the music itself isn't necessarily *hard* to play (I go more for harmony, texture/atmosphere, and especially IMAGINATION over showy virtuosity), it IS structured, and layered, with a lot of interplay between instruments, but can be adapted to fit a particular set of players. Ultimately, it's all about the adventure, and should be fun and experimental, or experimentally fun...No drama, politics, or egos; for me, "the music's all that matters". Would also be open to playing with another band of this sort that may be looking for musicians to collaborate with, as well. What can YOU imagine? Thanks for reading, and in advance for listening.
