Music with a Cause proudly returns to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Purcellville! Pianist Brian Ganz, co-founder of the Music with a Cause concert series, will be joined by colleagues Alán Saucedo, cellist and Marjory Serrano, violinist, in a program entitled "Fryderyk Chopin: The Great Chamber Music." This will be the first Music with a Cause concert since the pandemic related shutdown.
The January 28 concert will feature all the music Chopin composed for piano and strings, including the ever popular Introduction and Polonaise in C major for cello and piano and Chopin’s mature masterpiece for cello and piano, the Sonata in G minor, Op. 65. Also featured will be the rarely heard Duo Concertant for cello and piano, and the Trio for piano, violin and cello in G minor, composed when Chopin was still a teenager.
Net proceeds from the concert will benefit Mobile Hope, a Leesburg-based organization that provides support and emergency shelter for at-risk youth.
