This two-part workshop hosted by death doula Aidi Kansas & artist jackie sumell will challenge harmful capitalistic prescriptions for death, dying and grief. Together we will visit different cultural approaches to death and dying. We will look to the natural world for a roadmap and learn everyday practices to help us prepare for our own death. We will explore practices for collective liberation and build tools to help us face what is often our greatest fear. These radical workshops will explore the possibility that because death is inevitable, therefor it can be celebrated. In this series we will practically, spiritually and naturally reframe transition.
This workshop encourages us to become familiar with the process of dying IT IS NOT advocating for suicide or the loss of life.
