My intention is to create a community here in Santa Cruz County for community professionals. As the saying goes, "the cobbler always wears the worst shoes." Put another way, community builders benefit from being a member of a support community composed of other community builders. Personally, I am looking for that support myself. That is one of the reasons that I am proposing something simple where we get together for a meal once a month. We could have a community work related theme/topic for discussion during brunch each month. For this first gathering, I would like to focus on getting to know one another and discussing potential topics/themes for future brunches. I am open to it evolving over time organically based on who shows up and what they are interested in doing as a community of community builders. The caveat being many hands makes for light work.
