Description

You want to have a great marriage, a place where you are known and loved. The problem is marriage is difficult. It can feel like the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We get it; we’ve been there too. We understand the hurt and loneliness of a disconnected marriage which is why we are passionate about helping couples. We’ve given hundreds of couples the practical tools they need to grow a healthy marriage! What to Expect:Culture. We intentionally call this a workshop instead of a conference. Participants range from newlyweds to those who have been married for 30+ years. Every couple comes with their own challenges and experiences and are at different places in their journey. Each year we have couples who are madly in love and some who are barely hanging on. We value you coming just as you are: good, bad, and ugly, and we will equip you to take steps forward in your journey. As leaders, we do not pretend to have it all figured out either; we are also on the journey. We continually hear from past participants how encouraging it was to know they weren’t alone in their marriage struggles. As one participant has said, “it was a place where we could have real conversations that were safe.” As leaders, we come with a Christian background but keep this conference accessible to those with different (or no) faith backgrounds. The content we teach primarily comes from current marriage research and psychology. Sessions: Sessions are highly interactive. The general flow of each session is 30 minutes of teaching followed by a time of question and response. We value an open room that allows others to give insight and share their experiences with one another, so this time is very engaging. We then give couples time to process the session together with some prompted questions and scripted conversations. Afterward, we come together as a large group to apply the learning. There is no expectation to participate in the larger group discussions. Topics: Topics include: the foundations of a healthy marriage, communication, conflict resolution techniques, sex and intimacy, family of origin dynamics, attachment theory, building your marriage story, rhythms to keep your bond strong, and much more. Cost: $225 per couple through March 15th. $275 after March 15th. We never want the cost to limit who can come, so scholarships are available based on need. Email [email protected] Schedule: Friday. We begin Friday evening at 7:00 pm and go until 9:45 pm. Saturday. We start at 8:30 am with sessions until lunch. After a break for lunch, we come back together for a few hours in the afternoon. Late afternoon you get a break and are encouraged to go on a date. We gather back Saturday night at 8:00 pm and go until 9:45 pm. Sunday. We begin at 8:30 am and are finished by noon. Lodging/meals. You are responsible for your own lodging and meals. We have a group rate at the Westgate Branson Resort. Double Queen: $94 per night. One Bedroom Villa: $130 per night. The group rate is available through April 1. What people are saying: “The culture is open, honest, and vulnerable. They lead through their story, not through a book”. " It helped us discover our shame, how it impacted our marriage, and what to do with it. Truly, we view our marriage in two parts: pre-conference and post-conference. The impact of the conference is difficult to put into words; it’s just a must for couples. " “The marriage workshop is the runway for real communication in your marriage. Whether you are at the beginning, worst, or best stage.” Contact us: If you have any questions before registering, feel free to email us at [email protected]
