We're a rock band with two female vocalists, a lead guitar/male vocalist, rhythm guitar/male vocalist, bass guitarist, and drummer/backup male vocals. We need to replace one of our female vocalists who is moving back to solo work. We're looking for a long-term team player with strong stage presence who can sing both lead and backup. We practice every Tuesday evening in Old Town Alexandria, and do paid 3-4 hour gigs around Northern Virginia (and occasionally DC) once or twice a month. We perform high-energy classic and contemporary rock from Pat Benatar to Adele, Bonnie Raitt to Runaway June, AC/DC to Portugal.The Man, by way of Elle King, Blondie, Gnarls Barkley, Grace Potter, Joan Jett, CeeLo Green, Lady Gaga, Janis Joplin, the Eagles, Sheryl Crow, DNCE, Shania Twain, Kings of Leon, Pink, Lizzo, Dua Lipa, etc., etc. We try to add about a song a month, and keep the audience dancing.
