Description

Thief Wine is thrilled to present our annual Spring Grand Tasting, a fantastic walk-around tasting event that past Grand Tasting attendees called "the best wine event they've ever attended." Our Fall Grand Tasting was a huge success - we're so glad to have these back! - and will be keeping the same format (awesome walk-around tasting with wonderful wines), with: Only one ticket level, and extremely limited capacity (instead of 75 Reserve and 175 Regular, so 250 total, we're cutting that to only 140 tickets for sale total). This will sell out quickly!15 wine tables, each with 7-8 wines to sample and enjoy. And the details are... What: A walk-around wine tasting featuring more than 100 delicious and distinctive fine wines from around the world, with almost all wines in the $15-$65 per bottle price range. All wines will be selected by Thief Wine and reflect our focus of artisanal, high-value, terroir-driven selections (i.e., not the mass-production wines you see at most large wine tastings). Light hors d'oeuvres (cheese, bread, cured meats, fruit, etc.) will be provided, and there will be live music for ambience. To ensure attendees have the best possible experience and prevent overcrowding, tickets are limited. To be quite honest, it's an embarrassment of riches (if we're going to put on a large tasting, we're going to do it right), so you'll want to pace yourself and be smart. Admission ($85 + fees) includes admission from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., with the chance to sample and enjoy the 100+ wines, grouped among 15 tables. Tickets are limited to 140. It's pretty awesome. Get these tickets now! How: Easy. At the door you'll get a high-quality Riedel glass (that's yours to keep!) and a tasting sheet. The wines are grouped in tables around the venue, and you can sample whatever you'd like! No additional costs or tasting coupons needed. We'll even send out the list of wines sorted by table in advance so you can see what will be where and plan your tasting strategy to maximize the experience.  Where: Milwaukee Public Market, Second Floor The Wines: Although the format is similar as previous tastings, the wines will be completely different, so if you've been before and loved it you'll want to come again! As always, all wines will be available for purchase at special event-only pricing. We'll be selecting the wines closer to the date of the event, but to whet your taste buds here's the list of what we poured at the Fall 2022 Grand Tasting: SPARKLING Poema NV "Pura" Brut, Cava Spain MontRubi 2021 Ancestral Blanc, Penedes Spain Cinzano NV Prosecco, Veneto Italy Malabaila di Canale 2021 Brachetto, Piedmont Italy Abbona NV Extra Brut, Piedmont Italy Lucashof 2021 Petillant Natural, Pfalz Germany Raumland NV "Cuvée Katharina" Brut Nature, Rheinhessen Germany Papet del Mas NV Brut Nature, Cava Spain Pierre Brocard NV Brut "Tradition", Champagne France Ayala NV Brut Rosé, Champagne France Serge Mathieu NV Brut "Tradition", Champagne France Bruno Michel NV Brut "Assemblée", Champagne France Chiquet NV Brut "Tradition", Champagne France Ocaso NV Extra Brut Rosé, Mendoza Argentina WHITE Treana 2021 Chardonnay, Central Coast California Ovum 2020 "Big Salt" White Blend, Oregon Skinner 2021 Grenache Blanc, El Dorado California Brick & Mortar 2021 Chardonnay, Anderson Valley California Carol Shelton 2020 "Wild Thing" Chardonnay, Mendocino California Carpe Diem 2019 Chardonnay, Anderson Valley California Rochioli Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley California Bodega Pazos del Rey 2019 "Pazo de Monterrey" Godello, Monterrei Spain Condes de Albarei 2021 Albariño, Rias Baixas Spain Molino Real 2018 "Mountain Blanco" Moscatel de Alejandria, Malaga Spain Bodegas Angel Rodriguez Vidal, 2019 "Martinsancho" Verdejo, Rueda Spain Eladio Pineiro 2020 "Envidiacochina" Albariño, Rias Baixas Spain Kumusha 2020 Chenin Blanc, Western Cape South Africa Nortico 2021 Alvarinho, Minho Portugual The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand Monowai Pinot Gris, Hawkes Bay New Zealand Astrolabe 2018 "Wrekin" Chenin Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand Inama 2021 Classico, Soave Italy Tiefenbrunner 2020 Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige Italy Scarbolo 2020 "Il Ramato" Pinot Grigio, Friuli Venezia Giulia Italy Pio Cesare 2020 Chardonnay / Sauvignon Blanc, Piedmont Italy Il Firriato 2019 Bianco, Etna Italy Zacharias 2021 Assyrtiko, Peloponnese Greece S.
