We feel so strongly that we prepare so much for labor and birth that we often forget to prepare and prep for the fourth trimester and beyond. Postpartum is not 6 weeks. It’s not one year. Maybe it’s 10 years for some, or 3 for others. There is no definite time. But the way we care for ourselves and others during such a crucial time can be life changing.
