Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) is an acute, rapidly progressive, life-threatening condition that
requires prompt diagnosis, stabilization, and correction. Gastric dilatation also known as "Bloat" is more
common in large breed deep chested dogs with or without torsion/volvulus. Let’s discuss the necessity
for a standard stabilization protocol to improve our patient outcome and save their lives.
