Join the Hermosa Beach Historical Society on SUNDAY, February 26th at 3:00PM for a presentation on the history of Japanese Americans with local historian Helen Yoshida. ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Helen Yoshida is the Communications Writer at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM). She conducted oral histories with wartime incarcerees and decedents across the country to complete her MA in History, with an emphasis in Public History, at California State University, Fullerton. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Oral History Review, Kokoro Kara, and JANM’s blog, First & Central, among others. *masks are strongly recommended at this event, but are not required.
