Seeing Redd
Trippie Redd was born in Canton, Ohio, as Michael Lamar White IV. Though he spent a good deal of his upbringing in the state capital of Columbus, Trippie would often find his way back to Canton. Upon finishing high school, he headed down south to Atlanta. Connections with rapper Lil Wop helped him to secure a record deal. After getting a few projects under his belt, Trippie headed out west to Los Angeles. His first mixtape, A Love Letter To You, dropped in 2017. It became quite popular thanks to the single "Love Scars." A sequel followed that same year, as did singles featuring prominent rappers such as Swae Lee and Travis Scott. In 2018, he dropped his first full-length studio album, Life's a Trip. The featured artists were Young Thug, Reese LaFlare and Travis Scott. However, this was largely Tripppie's show. Additional support came from the beats, which included an A-list team of producers, such as Diplo, Murda Beatz, Scott Storch, Wheezy and Honorable C.N.O.T.E. Singles from the album were "Dark Knight Dummo," "How You Feel" and "Taking a Walk." It peaked at No. 4 on the US Billboard Top 200 albums chart. A second studio album is due in 2019, tentatively titled !. He's performed live in North America and Europe, in countries such as the United States, Canada, Poland, Germany and France.
