Join us for the annual Austin Forward. Together. (AFT) Community Summit on Saturday, January 21st, 2023 (9am-1pm) at By The Hand Club for Kids (415 N. Laramie). The Austin Forward. Together. (AFT) quality-of-life plan is a set of goals created by and for the community designed to address 7 Issue Areas between 2019 and 2024: Community Narrative, Education, Housing, Youth Empowerment, Economic Development, Public Safety, and Civic Engagement. The goal of this year’s summit is to inspire and bring more residents and stakeholders into the AFT process as we begin our fifth and final year of implementation! Agenda: Welcome introduction and special performancePanel discussion on large scale development projects in the Austin neighborhood and a discussion on what community ownership looks likeBreakout sessions with the AFT task forces to learn more about successes, challenges, and how to get involvedBreakfast will be provided.
