Brazilian music anyone!?

I am a keyboard player who loves SO much of Brazilian music. Many people only think “bossa nova” and “samba” when they think Brazilian music, but it is so much more than that, though I do, of course, love those as well. There are, on the other hand for example, SO many beautiful ballads, and wonderful waltzes, too! And so many great singers, musicians, and songwriters. The list could go on and on, but for now, just a sample: Alcione, Ana Carolina, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ary Barroso, Beth Carvalho, Bezerra da Silva, Caetano Veloso, Caymmi family, Chico Buarque, Chico César, Cristino Branco (Portuguese), Djavan, Edu Lobo, Emílio Santiago, Gal Costa (RIP, you are missed), Germano Mathias, Gilberto Gil, Ivan Lins, Joao Bosco, Joao Gilberto, Jorge Aragão, Luiz Melodia, Luiza Possi, Marcelo D2, Marcos Valle, Maria Bethania, Marissa, Martinho da Vila, Milton Nascimento, Mônica Salmaso, Paulinho da Viola, Roberta Sa, Seu Jorge, Vinícius de Moraes, Zeca Pagodhinho, Zizi Possi I even like the even older generation: Roberto Carlos, Nubia Lafayette – what great voices (even if the material is often, yes, a bit dated) – and even Ney Matogrosso! Singers, musicians…PLEASE come help me play some of this beautiful, hip, powerful, cool music!
