Join us 6 Wednesday mornings beginning the last week of February for Urban Farm School! Kids with parents in tow will be: Tapping maple trees and collecting sapBuilding an outdoor sugaring station and boiling sap into syrupAmending established rows and beds for spring plantingEstablishing new rows and beds with cardboard, mulch, soil and manureStarting and caring for seeds! Planting cold tolerant plantsBuilding tunnels to keep baby plants warmAnd more! We will be reading stories as well as seed packs, we will be writing in our journals about planting dates as well as on seed markers to remember what we planted. We will be playing on the play structure, and making new friends. We are an unschool group that encourages kids to pursue their curiousity, and listen to their inner voice.
