Pet owners: Please keep your cats indoors! For the second time in the past month I have accidentally captured a cat in a rat trap on my property. I have rats in my garage so I set rats traps to kill them (the kind of trap that snaps shut and kills the rat). I bait the traps with cheese and try to place them where I think cats won't go. But twice now I have had cats get killed by the traps. If you let your cat outdoors they are subject to all kinds of dangers. If you let them out of your house you better figure out a way to keep them off my property because I'm tired of having to throw out your dead cat. One of the cats had a tag with the owner's name and phone number but I just put the dead cat in a trash bag and threw it away. If you have a black and white cat in Quakertown that hasn't come home in a few days it may be dead in my trash can. Please be a responsible cat owner and keep your cat in your house. If it dies on my property you will never see it again and you'll never know what happened to it.
