In a TV interview, George Santos was asked why he had lied to get elected. He explained that when he decided to get into politics, the first thing he learned was that not only was lying acceptable but condoned by both parties. He said that after watching the democrats lie about Trump being a Russian puppet for six years and when it was proven that hillary and the democrat party were actually the ones working with Russia in order to destroy the Trump presidency, he realized that truth would never get him elected to congress, so he lied. He made the remark that he was surprised that other elected officials would make such a big deal out of his lies since they all do it. The interviewer asked him if he had remorse for lying to his constituents. His reply was that at least his lies had not cost the country millions of tax dollars investigating a lie that the democrats had pulled out of thin air and knowing that it was all lies. He asked the interviewer how much damage was done to our country by the democrats refusal to work for ideas put forth by President Trump that would have made his four years even more productive than it was. When asked if he would apologize to America for lying, his reply was. Sure, I'll apologize as soon as pelosi, schipp, biden, harris, the news media and every other democrat politician apologized for the damage done to our country that they are responsible for. Sounds like he will work out just fiine.
