The Wood Stove & Fireplace Center in Oakhurst is Hiring for various positions. We are primarily working and servicing Monmouth & Ocean County NJ but do extend ourselves farther at times. We are currently looking for a chimney sweep, Pre-fab fireplace Installer, Installer helper and Gas Fireplace service technician. Our hopes are to find long term responsible employees looking to grow with a 45year old family business. Requirements are different for each position but a valid NJ drivers license is required for all field positions. For Helper Position, starts at $20hr No experience with fireplaces is required. New members will work with an experienced technician and learn on the job. Candidates must have experience working with hand and power tools, be mechanically inclined, and possess excellent customer service skills. Although we will always need helpers, anyone can move up when its time. Candidates must be able to lift 50+ lbs For Installer/ Gas Service Tech positions. and are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Be able to completely install fireplaces and their specified venting. Be able to use diagnostic tools to diagnose and repairs fireplace components to resolve operating problems according to manufacturer’s specifications (including and not limited to ignition systems, gas pressures & venting config) Initiate fireplace startups and perform homeowner orientations.
