Location: Gibsonton, FL Pay: $16.35/hr for 1st and $17.35/ hr for 2nd shift. Description: Operate manufacturing machines (such as injection molding, presses, etc) to produce wax patterns, gating, sprues and components. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards. Set up molding equipment to produce parts to specification. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Organizes and uses machine related tools, and equipment relevant in production. • Sets up and operate machines • Responsible for set-up and troubleshooting operations of machines and auxiliary equipment • Ensures the correct practice is pulled up on production system screen while performing the injection operation • Plans and lays out work, prepares components or semi-products and monitors related hand-stock. • Processes the components or semi-products/products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. • Understand and set-up tool with air, hydraulics, and cores • Monitor and maintain good documentation practices • Adjust machines, set controls and perform troubleshooting as required by quality criteria • Maintain the flow and quality of parts produced • Clean and maintain machines and equipment for organization and safety • Understand and follow manufacturing and quality instructions • Read and understand engineering drawings and work orders • Continuously perform improvement analysis • Assist on setups and changeovers • Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality inspectors and operators to ensure quality • Performs basic or specifically defined maintenance operations; cooperates with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repairs. • Use hand tools as needed, incl. wrenches, allen wrenches, screw drivers QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required: • High school graduate or GED. • Able to perform basic math functions using metric system • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. • Strong Attention to Detail Desired Qualifications and Experience: • 2+ years of machine operating experience preferred • Knowledge of plastic or ceramics materials and their processing characteristics • Experience with Inspection Equipment (calipers, pin gauges, etc.) using metric system. • A background with plastics or ceramics extrusions, injection molds, or blow molds preferred • NDT knowledge, blueprint reading/interpretation, problem-solving/troubleshooting, proofreading and editing. • Ability to read Engineering instructions.
