Sarah AkibaCelebrity stylist and creative director, founder of AWOM & AWOM Lab. Website: www.soakiba.com & www.awomlab.com IG: @SOAKIBA Born in the fashion capital of Paris, France, celebrity stylist Sarah Akiba has been bathed in the world of style since birth. Her parents, both global antique collectors and designers, instilled a love of simplicity and attention to detail in the young aesthete, whose inspiration ranges from textures, colors, and the world around her. Sarah has quickly gained a reputation in the global styling scene for creating unexpected sartorial combinations that tell a story, and is happiest creating sustainable pieces from scratch to achieve her exact vision. She has styled for the red carpet, the Grammys stage, music videos, and editorial shoots, as well as provided creative direction for Séssi’s music videos “En Tu Piel” and “Deja Que Te Lleve”, with notable clients including Jhay Cortez, Lele Pons, Justin Quiles, Guayanaa, Tito El Bambino, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Brytiago, Dasha Polanko, Yes Julz, and more. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Ocean Drive Magazine, Miami Magazine, Galore Magazine, People en Español, and Plum Magazine. Following the painful passing of her father, the University of Miami graduate founded AWOM (Angel Watching Over Me) a nonprofit foundation aimed at bringing together individuals who have lost loved ones through a community of support. Through the foundation, she hosts a weekly support group for young girls where they discuss mental health, body image, friendship, and confidence and provide essential supplies for success both inside and outside the classroom. As an extension of her personal brand, Sarah has launched a monthly Woman’s Dinner series, which brings together bright feminine minds for one night and, much like her styling work, spares no detail to achieve a cohesive and unforgettable experience. Sarah also serves as the CEO for AWOM Lab, a photography studio and creative agency where she houses her extensive collection of upcycled clothing. Her Miami-based team allows Sarah to work on multiple projects at once, whether her talents have been requested in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Puerto Rico, or the Dominican Republic.
