International Paper Maintenance Mechanic FULL-TIME $29.64/hr, plus $2000 new hire bonus 6706 N 53rd St, Tampa, FL 33610 • Perform maintenance functions making repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor; • Plan and obtain cost estimates and execute projects under guidance of the maintenance supervisor; • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance duties such as mechanical and electrical repairs; • Provide training in areas of expertise or knowledge; • Respond to work orders submitted by employees; • Assist supervisor in ordering parts; • Assist supervisor in developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program; • Perform special assignments such as new equipment installations, and perform preventative maintenance duties. • Participate and execute actions from the quality improvement program; • Support installation of new equipment and facilities improvements; • Work safely by observing safety rules, policies, and procedures and identifying unsafe conditions or actions to the supervisor; • Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits; • Basic design and fabrication of repairs and process improvements Schedule - Shift start: 7:00AM or 7:00PM - Shift length: 12 hours - Days: 2-2-3 schedule with a 3-day weekend every other weekend and days off during the week. The shift could be day or night shift. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods. Benefits - Health, dental, vision insurance available after 30 days - Paid time off - 401k Requirements - Experience/knowledge in the following areas: Electrical circuit troubleshooting, PLC, Electronics, ARC flash, plumbing, steam and boiler, pneumatics, confined space, mobile equipment, Mig and Tig welding - Ability to problem solve and prioritize work - Ability to bend, squat and kneel, and climb frequently - Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours - Ability to work with minimum supervision - Ability to work varied hours/days - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to read and interpret blue prints mechanical and electrical schematics, piping diagrams, in orthographic, isometric, and sketch-views - At least 2 years of related mechanical experience working in an industrial manufacturing production environment (corrugated industry is a plus) - Must be at least 18+ years old - Must pass drug screen - Must pass background check - Can lift 50 lbs Bonus $2000 new hire incentive One-time bonus of $2,000 offered to new hires paid over 1-year period: $1,000 after 30 days of employment, $500 after 6 months of continuous employment, and $500 after 1 year of continuous employment.
