Screening DetailsA collection of three short films from local filmmakers Matt Spear, Will Wertz, and Brenton Oechsle to be screened back-to-back-to-back at the Kan Kan Cinema on January 15th, 2023. The three films will begin playing at 7:30PM, but attendees are encouraged to arrive sooner in order to mingle with other attendees, or to checkout the many dinner and drink options at The Brasserie restaurant. Kan Kan offers an assortment of your favorite movie theater snacks including fresh popcorn, soda, and candy. The length of the screening will be approximately 30 minutes. Three Short Films...Thin Place (Brenton Oechsle) - Based on the true story of a mother who suffers the passing of her blind son and escapes to the rainforest of the pacific northwest to confront her guilt of his death. Wolf at the Door (Will Wertz) - Jessie and Harley hide out in an abandoned house after robbing a liquor store in small town middle America. Harley wants to follow the plan and split the money three ways and hide a cut for a silent accomplice while Jessie wants to escape and take the entire bounty for themselves. Love, Grandma (Matt Spear) - A family grieves at the loss of their loved one.
