Event Description and Goals IUPUI will transition to IU Indianapolis in Fall 2024, necessitating changes to key branding and visual identity elements for the athletic department. In this sprint, students will work in interdisciplinary teams over the span of 24 hours to develop ideas and concepts related to the future branding identity of IU Indianapolis athletics. Students will pitch their creative concepts to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, IU Studios, and other campus stakeholders. Knowing that IU Indianapolis will compete in Division I athletics in the Horizon League, students will work on creative concepts in the following types of areas: Branding style guide elements, including logos, marks and letteringFight songUniformsApparel/merchandiseCourt/field designLarge scale branding for placemakingImportant Event Details There is no cost to participateThere are two meals included during the eventAll event activities happen in NIFS or the NatatoriumWho can Participate? Timeline Friday, January 27 12:30 - Check-in at NIFS Auditroium and eat pizza! 1:00 - Event Overview - Project and Goals 1:30 - Hear from branding, visual identity, and sports experts 2:15 - Site tour of IUPUI Athletics venues (Softball, Tennis, Soccer, Natatorium) led by Athletics Director Dr. Rod Perry 3:00 - Move to Natatorium - Rooms 161 and Focus Rooms 5:00 - Group check-ins Natatorium open until 9:00 - Groups are free to work in their preferred method after 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28 8:30 - Arrive at Natatorium, Grab-and-go breakfast available throughout the morning 8:45 - Student work time 10:30 - Presentation Prep time 11:30 - Student delivers pitches and submit deliverables 1:00 - Depart
