Event is being hosted by UC Merced CARE and Valley Crisis Center in collaboration with the UC Merced Police Department. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. California's Forgotten Children is an award-winning documentary and has been used in various settings to promote awareness. Human trafficking is the second largest criminal organization in the world and continues to be the fastest growing. Please join us to help promote awareness and prevent trafficking. Our keynote speaker is one of the survivors in the film. About the Speaker: Rachel C. Thomas, M. Ed is a graduate of UCLA, a presidential appointee to the United States Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, and a personal survivor of human trafficking. www.rachelcthomas.com Free Parking: Parking is located in the Bellevue lot.
