WE RETURN with the new moon. FORTUNE presents: Year of the Water Rabbit, First Dance — Saturday, January 21st from 6PM–Midnight at Icebox Project Space in the Crane Arts Building. ONCE MORE, won’t you join us for the Lunar New Year? Come out for an evening of deep sea movement, karaoke serenades, parlor games (for luck), and lots of room to dance. Let’s get wavy. $10-20 sliding scale — cash bar, snacks included with entrance. Eventbrite pre-registration includes a free raffle/drink ticket! Stay tuned for full lineup. THIS LUNAR NEW YEAR celebration is 1 of 2, produced with love for queer and trans Asian diasporic knowledge and joy. Come back to the Icebox on Saturday, January 28th, when All Mutable presents: Year of the Water Rabbit, Last Dance — curated by friend of FORTUNE, and force of water, Sarah Kim. Accessibility Information: This is a vaxed + masked event. Icebox Project Space, located within the Crane Arts Building, is wheelchair accessible. There is limited accessible parking at the front of the building, and a ramp leading into the main entrance. Once inside the building, there are no steps leading into Icebox Project Space. Two all-gender bathrooms with multiple stalls are available for use — one with urinals, one without, and both with 1–2 wheelchair-accessible stall(s). The event will include live drumming in the early evening, and a DJ set at the end of the evening that may affect those with noise sensitivity. The event room will be dimly lit, with folding chairs available for sitting. Alcohol will be served at the event, and food will include vegan and gluten-free options.
