In 1976 British wine merchant Steven Spurrier forever changed the face of California wines by organizing "The Judgement of Paris", wine competition that put the emerging wines of Napa Valley up against the best of Bordeaux and Burgundy in a blind tasting.
This mini class will tell the story of the tasting and the impact it had on the California (and larger US) wine industry while we taste through three iconic Napa Vineyards that competed in the event:
