In 1976 British wine merchant Steven Spurrier forever changed the face of California wines by organizing "The Judgement of Paris", wine competition that put the emerging wines of Napa Valley up against the best of Bordeaux and Burgundy in a blind tasting. This mini class will tell the story of the tasting and the impact it had on the California (and larger US) wine industry while we taste through three iconic Napa Vineyards that competed in the event: 2019 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay2018 Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley2014 Mayacamas Vineyard Merlot Mt. VeederIntimate class will take place in our lounge area. There will be some educational lecture, but also plenty of time to chat with your friends. Cheese & Charcuterie boards will be avaialble for purchase.
