He is a third-generation home builder and worked with his father before starting his own company, PH Building and Design, in 2007. With his wife Perry, they have continued to grow PH Company into one of the most reputable building companies in our area. Peyton’s clients praise him on his ability to be accommodating, ethical, and hands on, all while ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship. He has a love and appreciation for not only the building process itself, but for the people involved - both homeowners and employees - and strives to exceed expectations on every project. ARCHITECT: Pete J. Vallas | Vallas Architecture Pete J. Vallas, A.I.A., Architect, established in 1992, is a full service custom residential architectural firm with a long history of listening to clients and providing attentive personal service with an extensive portfolio of “from the ground up” custom residences, major additions and alterations, not so major small remodeling projects, historic adaptive reuses, specialty retail shops and houses of worship. NCARB certified, Vallas has completed projects along the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas, with projects either under development or under construction from Highlands, N.C. to Marble Falls, TX. Regardless of style, his work relies heavily on the incorporation of visual axes that organize the plan and lead the eye from room to room and from indoors to outdoors. Rhythm and repetition, balance and proportion, harmony and mathematics; the sophisticated manipulation of these components results in work that appears effortless. Pete J. Vallas is a classicist who finds inspiration wherever he travels. While he lives and works in a masterfully restored 1937 English Period Revival cottage in Mobile’s midtown, Pete’s passions run closer to Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House. Quite simply, he appreciates architecture of all genres, and a quick perusal of his built work reflects a wide variety of languages in which he is fluent. Pete is passionate about his work and his relationships with clients, and is proudly working on third and fourth projects for some extended families. LANDSCAPE DESIGN: Blake Smission | WAS Landscape & Design WAS Design, Inc. is a landscape architectural firm with offices located in Foley and Mobile, Alabama, Pensacola, Florida and Jackson, Mississippi. The firm is well regarded for their ability to develop designs that respond to, as well as influence, their environments. WAS Design has developed a reputation for excellence in the design of both natural and urban environments. INTERIOR DESIGN LIAISON: Perry Harvill | PH Building & Design Company Perry Harvill graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Interior Design. After a few years of owning her own company as a residential interior designer, she joined forces with husband, Peyton, and founded PH Building and Design Company. Perry immediately found her love for building homes and leading clients through the design process. Her main objective is keeping her clients at ease and engaged, all while creating a unique home that reflect each owner personally.
