Job description *This position is for our 2023 landscaping season. We will be conducting interviews and filling these positions immediately.* FINE GARDENING LABORER: Join the Torrison Stone and Garden team ! If you enjoy working outside and have the experience and knowledge needed to maintain gardens we would love to have you join our landscape crew. The employee will work under the direction of an experienced garden supervisor. REQUIREMENTS: Some experience in horticulture or closely related field (required). Must have knowledge of the characteristic, growth habits, & proper maintenance requirements for a wide variety of annuals, perennials, shrubs & ornamental trees. Regular tasks to be included are planting, pruning, deadheading, weeding, transplanting, and general cleanup. Must be able to bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the day. Must be able to work long hours during the busy season. Including Saturdays when necessary. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred but not required.) Must have own transportation to and from our facility in Middletown, CT. These positions require physical activity on a daily basis. The applicant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability Experience: Horticulture: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: One location
