Two Mastiffs Need a New Home

Description

Sol and Luna, male and female respectively, are mixed breed Mastiffs, half Neapolitan, half Cane Corso. They will be four years old in January and they are littermates. Both are people friendly but neither will be good with other animals, especially if they're smaller. Our youngest child at home is 9 but I also don't recommend having them around small children because they don't really know their size and knock kids over. These guys will need someone who is experienced with large breeds. They are up to date on rabies (due again July 2023) but need boosters for the rest. Sol is neutered, Luna is not spayed. Sol is loyal and lovable. He loves physical affection and within a couple minutes will melt to the floor and lay on your feet for belly rubs. He loves to take sunny naps in the grass and carry his favorite ball with him everywhere. Luna is a tenacious free spirit that just loves to play and dig. She is high energy and eager to work and I think both would train really well, I'm just not home consistently enough. I'm looking to rehome them for a few reasons. Firstly, the expenses. We got these guys pre-pandemic and the resulting economy has strained our budget. Secondly, I'm at work a lot and my family sometimes struggles to manage them when I'm not there. They have escaped the yard/house multiple times and it has caused problems with my neighbors. To be perfectly honest, we can't care for them the way they need. These are good dogs, we just took on more than we could handle and now they need proper training and care. If you have first hand experience working with large breeds and are interested in caring for one or both of these guys please email me for more info and hopefully schedule a meeting.
