Do you have sensitive skin, adore artisanal soap, or have a particular skin care issue you'd like to take care of? Have you ever imagined how it would feel to make your own homemade soap in your kitchen? Many commercial soaps contain synthetic detergents and cheap perfume that can be harsh on delicate skin and bad for the environment. Make your own soap at home and tailor it to your needs! Students will learn the fundamentals of making cold-process, botanical soap during this workshop. The students will make custom bars to take home using their own essential oil blends. We'll talk about safety issues, the advantages of ingredients, and various soap-making techniques.
