Found & Fixed Hudson Valley is a newly established Poughkeepsie-based social enterprise that upcycles furniture. It is a women and black owned business and they are in the process of incorporating as a worker cooperative. Few of their pieces will be on display at Gallery 40 during the month of March. Found & Fixed Hudson Valley takes used pieces that might otherwise go to a landfill and gives them new life through repair, painting, and refinishing. In addition to taking on their own pieces, they also work with clients on commissioned work. Where possible, they use sustainable and eco-friendly products on the pieces such as non-toxic paint and strippers. They are currently located in the industrial area of Poughkeepsie on Cottage Street. This pop up expo and show is their first experience with what it may be like to have a showroom.
