The purpose of this course is to educate physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in assessing, treating, as well as interdepartmental collaboration for this population. The course will update participants on current and relevant literature to help guide evaluation, patient education, plan of care development, and prescription for this population to garner success in a multi-disciplinary approach to the care of various orofacial injuries and pathologies. The breakout sessions will consist of "hands-on" work to practice assessment and treatment interventions as well as determining appropriate progressions, regression, development of working knowledge on the physiology behind treatment and explanation to patients. He is an avid baseball fan and continues to play every summer and fall for a men’s league in the area. He attended Christopher Newport University and received his Bachelor of Biology. From there, he attended Marymount University where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. There is always music playing at his clinic, constant laughs, and it gives you the feeling of being a part of a family. Creating that family feeling is a passion of his because Physical Therapy is more than just exercise and massage, it is the pursuit of wellness. A big part of wellness is social connection. He has a large background in athletics and weightlifting and likes to incorporate those concepts into his treatments because life is hard, so you should train harder. He enjoys treating any and every condition because he treats the person and not the condition. He is residency trained and applies evidence-based medicine to all of his treatments. PT Solutions at Lake Ridge will always give you a fun experience on the way to a healthier and happier life!
