Napa Valley’s MLK Celebration of Compassion & Action seeks to renew Dr. King’s vision of a Beloved Community. The celebration begins on Sunday, Jan. 15 with a public commemoration at 4 PM at the Congregation Beth Shalom synagogue. Speakers include Karla Gomez-Pelayo, from the Legacy Youth Project, JT Thompson, Napa Valley Black History Month celebration founder and community mental health advocate, and Lilea Heine, from the Rainbow Action Network. The celebration continues on Monday with various community service activities.
