Two super sweet boys to a good home

My husband and I picked these boys up after they were dumped and abandoned on the south side of town here in Wellington. We’ve had them for over a month and not one person has come forward to claim them. So, due to us having enough of our own cats and dogs, we absolutely cannot keep them. The blue one, Louie, is a Staffordshire terrier He’s very energetic, affectionate, and loves cuddle time. He’s partially leash-broken, and currently being trained to not pull on the end of the lead. Very intelligent dog, has started to learn basic commands like “sit” and “stay,” and has already learned he has to sit to get his leash clipped on. The red one, Alfred or Alfie, is an American pit bull terrier/boxer mix. Like his “brother,” Alfie loves to cuddle, is very energetic, and loves to play and be chased. He is also partially leash-broken, but continues to wanna run at full speed to the end of the lead. We’re working on it… 😆 He’s such a dork, and while not as smart as Louie, he does understand commands like “lay down” and “come”. Ideally they would both go to the same home, because they’re definitely pair bonded… but we understand this isn’t always a possibility. They are both very good around other animals including small dogs and kittens. They need LOTS of room to run and play, so a fenced-in yard is a must. They’re both crate trained, and have been sharing a large kennel together at night/when we’re gone. Just say “kennel up” or “do me a favour” and they march right inside, once they know where their spot is. They’re very good boys! So sweet, and so excited to see you when you get home. They deserve good people, after being abandoned in the cold like they were. I’ll be sad to see these sweeties go, but it’s what’s best for them.
