He is an Exum Mountain Guide and an Arc’teryx Grassroots Athlete. He has skied some of the world’s most challenging slopes in far-flung countries like Pakistan, Canada and Chile. But his favorite range remains the Tetons, which boast a lot of vertical, good snow and a small, close-knit community. Michael Gardner can’t remember if he learned to climb first or walk first, his life has been intertwined with the mountains since before he can remember. He is a second generation mountain guide born and raised in the Teton Range of Wyoming, the San Juans of Colorado and the Himalaya. A native of Port Angeles, WA, Sam Hennessey's outdoor career began at a young age in the small yet rugged Olympic Mountains. These days, he lives seasonally in Bozeman MT, making the most of the incredible ice and mixed climbing in the greater Yellowstone region. His favorite routes tend to be big walls or alpine rock and ice climbs. Nancy Bockino grew up in the mountains of Idaho, Montana and Washington. She began climbing, backcountry skiing and working as a field ecologist in the early 1990’s. Nancy moved from the Cascades to Jackson Hole in 2000 and fell in love with the mountains, whitebark pine trees and the local community. Nancy keeps busy working as a full time guide and avalanche forecaster for Exum, a forest ecologist caring for whitebark pine in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and a professional avalanche instructor.
