What: Pinewood Derby Annual Fundraiser When: Saturday, February 4, 2020 Time: Doors Open: 8:30am, Car Impound 9am, Races Start 10am Where: KaiserAir Hangar, 8735 Earhart Rd, Oakland, CA 94621 Street parking available Why: Bring the Peralta family of packs together for a lot of fun Dress: Please wear your Class-A scout uniform Bring: Please bring a camp chair and wear warm clothes as it can be cold in the airport hanger. The Peralta Cup is a Pinewood Derby between Cub Scouts in the Peralta District (Oakland/Emeryville) and Packs in other invted Districts. Races will be held for Cubs by year (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Weblo I and Weblo II) as well as for siblings, parents and older Scouts volunteering at the event. Ticket costs include time working on your car at the Montera Middle School woodshop on either Jan 17 or Jan 18th, the races, and trophies for the winners. You can choose a ticket which includes or doesn't include lunch. We will be selling lunch and snacks on race day. Cash and credit cards accepted. Pinewood Derby scholarships are available for Cub Scouts. Parents/Guardians should email [email protected] to apply. Ticket cost does NOT include the Pinewood Derby kit. Those will be for sale at the workshop events for $10, if you need one. We will also be selling weights that night. Cash accepted.
