The Mediterranean diet is based on the traditional foods that people used to eat in countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, including France, Spain, Greece, and Italy. In this class, instructor Julie Parisi will lead a demonstration on four recipes to keep you healthy and sticking to your New Year resolution! Recipes will include a crostini appetizer with ricotta, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. For the main dish, Greek stuffed peppers and a side of cauliflower salad with golden raisins and pine nuts will be prepared. A delicious and simple dessert of honey-caramelized figs over yogurt with pistachios will be served. Attendees will sample each of the recipes prepared!
This will be held in the Culinary Kitchen, within the NewBo City Market.
