Trauma can affect anyone and everyone’s trauma can be different. Oak Park TRY is offering a Trauma and Resilience Workshop for families living with trauma. Finding hope can lead to profound healing. Come to this free workshop and listen to Jamie Wehmeyer share her story and her inspirational knowledge on how to heal from trauma and raise resilient kids.
When & Where: Thursday, January 26 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Oak Park High School Cafeteria (825 NE 79th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64118).
Food & Childcare: Both dinner and childcare will be provided free of cost for this event.
Drawing & Prizes: The first 20 families to sign up will receive a $25 gift card to Aldi. There is also a drawing for those who complete the evaluation for $100 Aldi gift card and 4 hours of free babysitting by Jovie Childcare.
About the Hosts: Oak Park Teaching & Reaching Youth (TRY) is a coalition of community members who develop, implement, and evaluate youth prevention programs to increase resilience and reduce youth suicide and substance use.
