Looking for 1 – 3 Housekeepers needed for a 3500 sq ft home, with the exception of the office one the lower level by the front door. There are 3 humans and currently 6 forever cats and 2 foster cats. On the weekends, I get 2 additional human visitors. I will pay $1200 a month total. Pay may be more based on experience. Qualified candidates must have an up to date background check, be insured and bonded or get it prior to start, like cats, be punctual, well organized, and reliable. Long story short, you are responsible for the all the cleaning, organization, cat care, and shipments at my home. Training and cleaning supplies, and other things are provided below. Your responsibilities include deep cleaning, laundry, organizing my entire home, cat care, and inventorying shipments. Here are some details about each of your responsibilities: Routine Cleaning List: • Vacuuming carpets and floors • Sweeping and mopping floors • Emptying trash • High and low dusting • Cleaning door handles and light fixtures • Dusting windows, window sills and ledges • Changing linen (often as an additional service) • Cleaning kitchen appliances on the outside (the microwave is cleaned inside as well) • Wiping countertops and outside of the kitchen cabinets • Doing the dishes (often as an additional service) • Cleaning and disinfecting the toilet • Cleaning the sink, bathtubs and/or showers House Deep Cleaning details: If the timing isn’t stated, it is every 2 months. Deep clean the bathroom • Dust from top to bottom. o We recommend Swiffer Dusters, which trap and lock in dust and hair particles. Plus, you can toss the dust pad when you’re done. o Be sure to get all ceiling fans and vents. o Don’t skip the walls and baseboards. • Sweep, dry mop and/or vacuum the floors. o We love the Swiffer Sweeper Floor Mop and Bona, which can be used for both dry and wet mopping. Plus, the disposable pads are just great. And no mop bucket! • Disinfect and sanitize door knobs, light switches, hard surfaces and high-touch areas. o We like Microban 24 Bathroom Cleaner, which initially kills 99.9% of germs, including cold and flu viruses* • Scrub your shower, bathtub and sink. o Scrub the grout. o Clean the showerhead. o Clean shower doors. o Clean faucets, handles, hardware and drains. • Clean mirrors using store-bought cleaner or DIY glass cleaner solution. • Clean window treatments. (Every 4 Months. I will have A Cleaner World pick these up and return them on a cleaning day. I will pay on their app.) • Dust and wash your blinds. (Every 4 Months.) • Wash the windows. o Don’t forget the window sills and ledges. (Every 4 months.) • Organize the medicine cabinet (most meds are in the upstairs hall closet), shelves, drawers and closets. o Wipe out shelves and inside drawers. o Vacuum linen closet floor. • Throw in a load of laundry. o Wash your: shower curtain towels bathmats o Make sure to read the care instructions on the respective labels. • Deep clean the toilet. o Sanitize: the nearby floor toilet seat back of toilet/shelf hinges flusher attachments • Wash out toothbrush caddy. (Just throw it in the dishwasher.) • Wipe down baseboards. (Every 2 months.) • Take out trash and sanitize trash can. • Clean light fixtures. o Please note, my home runs Philips Hue Smart Lighting System. Bulbs will not need to be changed. Don’t flip the covered switches. Use the flat ones instead. Deep Clean The Kitchen • Clean the stovetop. (Every month.) o Remove and soak stove grates in a bath of gentle dish soap, like Dawn, and water. o Break out the beloved Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get rid of grease and burnt-on food. • Clean the oven. o Before you run your oven’s self-cleaning mode, wipe or scrape out any caked-on burnt stuff in there, or you risk starting a fire. (Every 3 months) • Clean your microwave. (Every month) • The inside and outside, plus the door and handle. • Clean and descale your coffee maker. (Every month) o Pot o Basket and filter o Outside • Clean out your fridge and freezer. o Throw out expired food and freezer items that are over six months old. o Wipe: shelves drawers handles • Vacuum beneath refrigerator. (Every 6 months) o Vacuum fridge coils and vent. • Degrease cabinets and wash the walls. o Clean both the inside and outside of cabinets, doors and shelves. • Clean out and organize your pantry. (My pantry holds cat food and supplies but please do this.) o Throw away expired items. • Empty the toast tray in your toaster. • Disinfect high-touch areas: o cabinet handles o light switches o sinks o countertops o sink faucet handles o refrigerator handle • Wipe down countertops. • Clean and sanitize sink: o basin o faucets o hardware o surrounding areas o drain • Clean your garbage disposal. o Toss a few tablets of disposal cleaner down the drain to freshen its smell. (Every month) o Ice cubes in the garbage disposal help knock bits of clinging-on food from the blades. • Sweep, dry mop and/or vacuum the floors. • Clean your dishwasher filter. • Wash your dishwasher. o Run an empty cycle with Cascade Dishwasher Cleaner to eliminate limescale, grease or odors. (Every month) • Clean stainless steel appliances. o Mr. Clean Clean Freak Mist works great to eliminate fingerprints and grease from stainless steel. • Clean your kitchen blinds. (Every 4 months) • Wash the windows.(Every 4 – 6 months.) • Wipe down walls and baseboards. • Take out trash and recycling. o Sanitize trash and recycling receptacles. Deep clean bedrooms • Dust everything from top to bottom: o dressers o lamps o bedside tables o artwork o knickknacks o headboard o shelves o frames • Vacuum your curtains and/or wash the blinds. (Every 2 months) • Check the label, but you can usually wash your curtains in the washing machine. (Every 4 Months. I will have A Cleaner World pick these up and return them on a cleaning day. I will pay on their app.) o • Sweep, dry mop and/or vacuum the floors. • Clean the floor. • Wash windows, window sills and ledges. (Every 4 Months.) • Vacuum curtains with upholstery attachment. (Every 2 months) • Wash your dirty clothes. o Put laundry away when it’s done. • Clean out your closets o Donate clothes that no longer fit to a thrift store or friend. o Take shoes out of the closet, and sweep and vacuum closet floor. • Wash all of your bedding: o Sheets (All sheets are washed in my laundry room.) o pillowcases • duvet covers (Every 4 Months. I will have A Cleaner World pick these up and return them on a cleaning day. I will pay on their app. With exception to my 2 rust colored comforters which are machine washable.) o shams (if they’re washable) o Be sure to read and follow the care and cleaning instructions on the labels. • Make your bed (with the clean sheets) (All sheets are washed and dried in my laundry room.) • Rotate your mattress. • Clean out and organize bedside table drawers. (I will do this in my master bedroom and Andy will do theirs. Please don’t open these areas.) o Trash expired prescriptions, old receipts, dead batteries, etc. o Shampoo any rugs or carpets, especially if you’ve got pets. (Every 4 – 6 months, I will schedule s a company on your work day. Please supervise them. I will handle payment.) Deep clean living spaces • Dust everything from top to bottom. o Swiffer Dusters are good for reaching all those hard-to-reach areas, plus the dust pads actually trap and lock dust particles instead of spreading them around. o ceiling fan blades o vents o bookshelves o artwork o frames o light fixtures o screens (including your TV) o plants o speakers o record player or stereo system • Wash the windows, window sills and ledges. (Every 4 months.) • Dust and wash doors. (Every 4 months.) • Wash the walls and baseboards. 9Every 4 months.) o Walls actually absorb and trap all sorts of smells. • Sweep, vacuum and mop. Then run a wet mop across the hard floors. o We like the Swiffer Sweeper or Bona, which takes care of the dry and wet mopping—no mop bucket required. • Vacuum everything: o couches o chairs o curtains o love seats o chaise longues o pet beds o anything that’s upholstered • Shampoo rugs or carpets with a steam cleaner. o Or, if you’re feeling lazy, sprinkle baking soda all over your carpet, let it sit overnight to neutralize any smells and vacuum it up in the morning. We’ll give you a hall pass on this one. (I will schedule s a company on your work day. Please supervise them. I will handle payment.) • Wash cushions and throw pillow covers. o Be sure to read the care instructions first. o If you can’t wash them, hit them with some Febreze Fabric to freshen them up a bit. • (Every 4 Months. I will have A Cleaner World pick these up and return them on a cleaning day. I will pay on their app.) o • Disinfect: o remote controls o high-touch items o doorknobs o light switches • Clean your screens: o televisions o laptops o tablets • Organize your stuff! o Declutter items on your tables and shelves. o Bring unused cups into the kitchen. o Put your darn shoes away. At least for today. • Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. o Replace batteries, if necessary. Deep clean the garage, yard, and outdoor spaces • Sweep o decks o porches o patios • Yard maintenance: o Tend to the garden- water plants. • Clean out and organize the garage. o Sweep. • Replace furnace filter. o This should be done every three months. (There are 2- one for each level.) Deep clean kid areas and playrooms • Move furniture and vacuum beneath: o playpens o beds o kiddie tables o crafting stations • Use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on any wall stains (crayons, anyone?) • Sanitize plastic toys. o Add a couple drops of bleach to a gallon of water, soak them overnight and let them air dry. • Hand wash soft plushies. o You can use a hair dryer to fluff their fur back up afterward. • Donate stuff that’s no longer being used or doesn’t fit: o clothes o books o toys • Organize: o clothes o books o toys Deep clean pet stuff • Vacuum: o carpet o couches o pet bed • Run a dry mop, like the Swiffer Heavy Duty Pet Dry Sweeper or Bona Mop, on your hard floors to collect and trap loose hair and dander. • Wet mop the floor, especially those corners where the dog hangs out and/or around the litter box and food bowls. • Make this easier on yourself with the Swiffer Heavy Duty Pet Wet Mop or Bona Mop. • Launder the pet beds. o If they’re really ratty, toss them, and buy new ones. (Wash and Dry in my laundry room. When done, use clean washer setting with washer cleaning tablet.) • Clean and sanitize hard plastic pet toys. • Throw out any disgusting, torn up toys, and replace them with fresh ones. • Neutralize potent pet smells. o Sprinkle baking soda on everything, let it sit overnight and vacuum it up in the morning. It works great on upholstery, pet beds, soft toys, etc. • Spray Febreze Fabric Pet Odor Eliminator around the pet zones for a burst of freshness. Wow, you made it to the bottom! You must have the cleanest house ever. Now can you come over and do ours? *When used as directed and within 60 seconds, effective against bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Salmonella enterica and viruses including human coronavirus, Influenza A H1N1, and respiratory syncytial virus. Microban does not provide 24-hour residual virus protection. Organization on the downstairs level includes garage, kitchen cabinets, kitchen pantry, foyer closet, closet just inside the garage, etc. Organization upstairs includes 4 bedroom closets, 1 office closet, and attic. Most importantly, cats are all currently indoor. Please don’t let them outside. I know accidents happen. If they do, come get one of us immediately. Cat care also includes filling auto pet feeders and storage bins, maintaining iLitter Robots (automatic litter boxes with app), and stocking cat areas. Training provided. Please bring your own vacuum or you will be responsible for the maintenance of the ones I have. I will replace things like filters and things that break down with regular wear and tear but any other damage will come out of your pay. I receive cleaning supplies from Amazon, cat supplies from Chewy, Cat subscriptions, etc. Please open all shipment boxes. store items, breakdown all the shipment boxes, and put trash outside. Please keep the cleaning supply area and the kitchen cabinet at the sink neat and inventoried. Text me a supply list weekly. Average time the job takes: 2 - 3 8 hour days weekly for 1 housekeeper 1-2 8 hour days weekly for 2 - 3 housekeepers Please note, this is an estimate. I have cameras inside and outside my home (except baths). If you are indeed working and I have not allowed for enough time, I will increase your wage appropriately.
