Heavy Equipment Operator

Description

Perform various activities including but not limited to: road building, fine grading, finishing, sloping, banking, back filling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, stockpiling, road surface maintenance, building and maintaining road berms, loading trucks, and trenching • Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment • Must know how to respond in case of emergency • Must be willing to perform first aid and CPR on other team members as required • The applicant will be required to handle material • Regularly communicate via 2-way radio with Managers, Supervisors, Team Members, and customers • The applicant will be required to handle material and work neccessary hours as need to accomplish the required tasks • Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks on schedule • Work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others Safely operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials • Operate equipment proficiently and safely • Ensure operation of equipment is within capabilities and limitations • Perform required safety inspections and complete documentation • Maintain a clean and safe job site • Perform other duties as required • Work outdoors in all weather conditions • Follow instructions and meet set standards Other duties as assigned MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5-10 YEAR EXPERIENCE
