Dryden Blvd. near Irving Rd., Cranston RI

Description

I am looking to find out about the history of a particular neighborhood in the Lakewood section of Warwick. Allegedly, somewhere about 120-or-more years ago there was a golf club called Quinnobequin(e) and a place called Duby's Grove in what is now known as Dryden Heights. A railroad line, which connected the main line at Auburn with Rocky Point and Oakland Beach, ran through there, with a stop around the Dryden Blvd./Irving Rd. intersection that went through several name changes (but apparently never "Lakewood") before the service was discontinued in the mid-30's. Mostly, I'd like to find out the general history of both places, how long they existed, how they were laid out, how they came to end, and how it came to be an early neighborhood developement. Thank you, whoever gets involved.
