Outreach Programs for Communities: Sharon R. Jones Sharon Jones is our Speaker today. She is the Facility Manager for the Arlington, TX Police Department. She manages an operating budget of $26 million, and a staff of 100. She spends a lot of her time in volunteer work for many community efforts. She is an Academic Advisor for the Tarrant County College District, including 6 campuses and over 40,000 students. She serves as a Grant Writer and mentor for non-profit organzations. She is a Director for the the Gloria B. Ramsey Tools for School Program. She also Volunteers for several programs here in San Antonio including the "Blue Santa Program", a joint toy drive between Arlington and San Antonio Police Departments. She also works with the Claude Black Community Center and the Dorie Miller Elementary/Community Center Program. Come and meet the community service professional volunteers at Northwest Rotary, members of Rotary International, the largest service organization in the world. Start the new year out by joining us at Rotary and beginning the thoughts about the celebration later this month of Martin Luther King Day. Lunch is served at Outback Steakhouse for $17 per person. You can attend Zoom for free, or the meeting with the lunch, after registering here. Space with adequate social distancing is provided at Outback Steakhouse. Face masks are required for the safety of all.
