Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Job Fair 1/20 The University of Vermont Medical Center Burlington, VT   $5,000 sign on bonus for full time positions!   Join The University of Vermont Medical Center at our upcoming and in-person Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Job Fair to learn about career opportunities that make a difference in people’s lives each day.   Friday, January 20th, 2023 11AM-4PM UVM Medical Center - Mclure Lobby 111 Colchester Avenue, Burlington, Vermont.   Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome!   Openings for: Environmental Services Worker II Environmental Services Worker III   Starting salary is $16.30 - $20.10/ hr (depending on experience). In addition to the hourly rate of pay, there is a $1.90 - $6.15/hr differential depending on shift.  Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, retirement and paid time off. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Environmental Services Worker II is responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the facility with the exception of the OR. The ESW II knows how to handle cleaning issues or knows the appropriate resources available to solve the specific problem. The Environmental Services Worker III is capable of cleaning all areas of the facility. The ESW III may be capable of handling the waste streams, implementing both hard floor and carpet care procedures, serving as a preceptor and a role model for ESW II. Internal candidates must demonstrate the skills and knowledge to be successful in the ESW II role to be considered for an ESW III position. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Satisfactory completion of Environmental Services Orientation Training Program within three months after hire. Meets the physical demands of the job as evaluated by functional screening.
