ECDC MCC Wausau is celebrating its first full year of refugee resettlement! We have scheduled our anniversary event for January 19, 2023, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. beginning with a short program at the Jefferson Street Inn (Wausau) featuring Dr. Tsehaye Teferra, ECDC's President and Chief Executive Officer. The program will be followed by a reception at our office suite on the second level of Washington Square. Our goal is to highlight and honor all the community agencies, civic organizations, faith communities and volunteers who helped build and sustain us. It has been a great year with plenty of challenges and so much inspiration. Thanks to you, we helped over 160 refugees start their new life in the U.S. And our new neighbors continue to bring so much enthusiasm, innovation, vibrancy and diversity to life in Central Wisconsin.
