Sup Recess Fam, Join Recess for "Game Night" at our new indoor space! Attendees will be encouraged to play various card games, karaoke, dodgeball, gellyball, food & more as our Recess staff figures out what else our space needs before we open to the public. Unlike 90% of our other events, we aim to keep this one kid-free. This is a BYOB event (we'll have ice and juice), so you must be 21+ to attend. What should I expect? Again, this is another test run to see what games we can actually work in our new space. A typical game night features card games (e.g spades, Uno, etc.), group games (charades, taboo, Jackbox, etc), athletic games (Dodgeball, laser tag, Gellyball, etc), and free-play games (Connect 4, jenga, etc.). You are free to play whatever game(s) you like throughout the night, or you could also sit back and enjoy the music/karaoke. All that we ask is that you fill out a feedback form at the end of the night. Can I bring my own games to Game Night? Sure, please RSVP as a Game Host (Volunteer) if you plan to host a game so we can recognize you at the event. What should I wear? We recommend casual clothes, but feel free to wear whatever you're comfortable with. If you plan on playing some of the physical games (like dodgeball for instance), please wear sneakers or athletic shoes. Where should I park? The parking lot for the building is on the corner of East 49th and St. Clair. There is also plenty of street parking. Anything else? We are so grateful for all of the support over the years.
