Meet at the Wildlands Trust headquarters for a discussion of the art of mindful meditation with leader Betsy Hall, followed by an opportunity to put these ideas into practice. After the discussion a mindful mediation hike will take place at the Emery Preserve across from the headquarters (weather permitting). In case of inclement weather, a mindful walk will take place in the Barn. This meditation is for both new and experienced meditators. What to Wear & Bring: Sturdy, closed-toed shoes Comfortable clothing for indoor and outdoor activities What to Expect: 1.5 hours of mindfulness practices that may include sitting, standing, and walking An open, accepting, safe space where can be yourself Restrictions: No pets Limit 10 participants We are adhering to state guidelines for COVID-19. Please read rules carefully before buying your ticket: • Participants must be fully vaccinated in order to participate. • Participants must register in advance. • Participants must agree to the Wildlands Trust COVID-19 terms and conditions for outdoor programs, as provided during Eventbrite registration. • If a participant or someone in their household is ill, has symptoms associated with COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days, or is awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, they are asked not to attend. • If a participant becomes ill within 7 days following their participation in the class, they should contact Director of Special Projects Rachel Calderara Bruce at [email protected] • These programs are weather permitting. If a program has to be cancelled due to weather, attendees will be notified via email 48 hours before. Betsy Hall is a meditation teacher with over 25 years of experience. She trained under renowned meditation instructor, Jose Silva, whose techniques have been studied by millions of people around the world. Betsy has also studied with Zen Masters, Buddhists teachers and Christian leaders. She loves to lead walking meditations in the forest because she believes that nature is one of the greatest meditation teachers. Betsy gently leads her participants in the art of meditation, encouraging self-discovery and delight. Her career as a teacher and guidance counselor is an essential part of her foundation as a meditation guide.
