Fire Extinguishing on the Fire Ground & At Home- Demonstrate the foam firefighters use on fires & teach the proper use of home extinguishers With the highest safety standards in mind, we are excited to be resuming our Citizens Fire Academy classes after a nine-month hiatus! The topic for our first class back is "Fire Extinguishing on the Fire Ground & At Home." We will discuss and demonstrate the foam our firefighters use on structure fires when at a working fire. You will also receive hands-on training in the proper use of personal home use fire extinguishers. Registration is limited to 10 participants and will close at noon on January 24th. Following CDC guidelines and local regulations, we will maintain the utmost care for the safety of our attendees and staff during these classes. As such we will be reducing class size and holding classes outdoors as well as requiring a health survey, temperature scan, face-covering, and social distancing for and during every class.
