To kick off the new year, the IUPUI History Department would like to invite you to the first in a new series of talks and events. Would you like a Revolution? Or at least play at one? Come meet current history students and join them in a mini simulation of the French Revolution using materials from the award-winning “Reacting To The Past” (RTTP) curriculum. RTTP is an active-learning pedagogy that uses role-playing to promote students’ critical, practical, intellectual, and academic skills. Students will work with you to get the 1791 Constitution passed (or not) and then answer your questions about their experiences re-enacting the French Revolution in class. While we cannot promise you will get cake this evening, there will be plenty of other refreshments and fun on hand!
