Lead Guitarist seeking other musicians

Hello! I'm a guitarist new to the area looking for groups to play and gig with. Open to covers and originals, and pretty open minded to genres but my background is mostly in rock, prog, metal, fusion, etc. That said I have no problem playing country, jazz, blues, etc. While I enjoy putting my own spin on solos and arrangements, I'm happy to stay faithful to original recordings. Available to fill-in for something already active, but excited to build something up with the right fit. In an original situation I may be a bit pickier about the fit, but would love to network and hear ideas. I have plenty to offer in the right situation, but would be very interested in finding a group to play improv-heavy fusion tunes, ideally in a mix of some "standards" with our own material thrown in. Would also be very interested in something quite technical, like a progressive group or modern metal.
