MidAmerica Talent is proud to present the 30th Annual Songs of Freedom – Bob Marley Remembered, a musical birthday tribute to the "King of Reggae Music" that will take place on Friday & Saturday, February 3rd & 4th, 2023 at Bunkers, 761 N. Washington Avenue in Minneapolis. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the music will begin at 9:30 PM. February 6th, 2023 would have been the “Reggae King's” 78th birthday and his music and his influence is felt just as strongly today as ever. In a celebration of the life and music of Robert Nesta Marley, musicians from across the globe will unite for the 30th consecutive year to bring the music of Bob Marley to the frozen North.This year's concerts will highlight performances by Reggae stalwarts the International Reggae All-Stars, featuring from Westmoreland, Jamaica, Lynval "Golden Voice" Jackson, from St. Ann, Jamaica, Jah Bee, from Liberia, Saye “Bingo” Kpolar, from St. Croix, Charles “Chilly” Petrus and from Venezuela, Brian Alexis.The live performances will include all of Marley’s classic songs and many lesser known “gems” from years past. In addition to the concert there will be a “Caribbean Marketplace” featuring Marley CD’s, posters, jewelry, incense, and t-shirts for sale throughout the evening.
