Shingle Creek Management Area in Orange County has about 5 miles of trails available for hiking - we will likely hike about 4 miles roundtrip. Park behind Hunters Creek Middle School along the chain-link fence near the trailhead. Please wear closed toe shoes/boots, sunscreen, insect repellent and bring water to drink. A hat and sunglasses are also recommended. Note that the first part of the hike is in an area with LOTS of tree roots, which can be hard for those who are unsteady on their feet. A hiking staff is helpful if you have balance issues.
